From an early age, Chrissie resided on the Coromandel Peninsula where she actively developed a passion in textile art. She was inspired by the unique coastal beaches and rugged native bush terrain. Over time, she has further developed her artistic passion by forming art using natural materials and treasures washed up on the foreshore of remote beaches. Chrissie's artworks are also created from old nautical objects such as oars, rudders and centre boards.
